About Graphic Era (Deemed to be University)
Near the Himalayan foothills in the lap of Doon valley, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) is the culmination of the vision of its founder, Prof (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala, in the form of Graphic Era Institute (1996) which was accorded the status of Deemed University in 2008. Located near the cantonment area, in calm and picturesque surroundings, along Rajaji National Park, with a backdrop of Shivalik hills, the university offers an amicable atmosphere and ambience suited to academic pursuits. In 2015 Graphic Era University was accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘A’. In 2022 Graphic Era University is accredited with NAAC Grade ‘A+’. Rank 64 in the Engineering Category by MHRD, government of India in NIRF 2022.
The conference aims bringing together all academicians, researchers, students, and policy makers on single platform to discuss technologies in the field of Civil Engineering, Environment Engineering and Construction fields to name a few, that can help the society for its smart, sustainable, and resilient development. The theme of the conference meets the requirements of UNDP goals for sustainable growth and also aim to address the technological interventions in the field, such as Sustainable Construction, BIM, AR/VR/MR in Construction, Drone technology, Remote Sensing and GIS and so on. Researchers and academicians are encouraged to participate in the conference and share the idea of using latest technologies that can help nation building and its economic growth to achieve 5 trillion economies by 2025-26.
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2007 and has grown over the years into one of the finest centers of training in the field of civil engineering. The Department offers a four-year course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (NBA Accredited) and two-year courses leading to Master’s degree in two major specializations of civil engineering (viz., Structural Engineering and Geoinformatics Engineering) as well as PhD in Civil Engineering. The laboratories are equipped with excellent and advanced equipments and provide all required facilities for advanced research in specific fields of civil engineering like Earthquake Engineering, Water Resources Engineering etc.
